The social media star is fearless and fashionable in an architectural ensemble
Social media phenom and Vogue Philippines cover star Bretman Rock has always been known to don innovative looks and march to the beat of his own drum. For tonight’s Anniversary Gala, he chose a sculptural ensemble by Filipino fashion designer Rajo Laurel to walk the black carpet.
“I was inspired by Bretman’s authenticity, realness, and bravery. In a world where pretense and pretend [are] prevalent and perhaps the norm. Bretman is like a wave of fresh air. A beacon of the possible, a symbol of what the Filipino creative looks like,” shares Laurel. “Audacious, bold and beautiful. Breaking boundaries, shattering stereotypes, and defining what it means to be Filipino now.”
The ivory garment rises up like a wave into a statement shoulder, and trails off into an asymmetric hem. Balancing the bold proportions and luxe textures of his top, he finishes off his look with tapered white pants and shoes from Marc Jacobs. A clutch from local brand Odel, sourced from the Artefino fair, completes his ensemble according to his stylist Brian Meller.
The beauty influencer arrives at the gala with fresh skin and graphic white eyeliner. His hair is slicked back, falling down in long, natural waves. A statement necklace of silver South Sea pearls, complemented with diamond and pearl earrings from Jewelmer, add a touch of fresh shine.
