At the 2025 Met Gala—celebrating the opening of the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” exhibition, which explored the history of Black style through the lens of the Black dandy—the dress code was Tailored for You. It was an invitation for people to experiment with tailored suiting looks, the cornerstone of the dandy wardrobe, and make them their own. But still: The important thing is that all our guests showed up and showed out! Below are 18 women who strayed away from the path set forth by the dress code—but still looked good doing it.
