To celebrate the launch of Louis Vuitton’s Resort 2025 Collection, Vogue Philippines hosts a conversation on the lessons learned from travel and developing personal style
Set against the Manila Bay sunset in Solaire Resort, Entertainment City, Vogue Philippines joined Louis Vuitton for a preview of the maison’s Resort 2025 “Summer Odyssey” Collection.
Highlighted by an intimate Notes on Style conversation with deputy editors Pam Quiñones and Trickie Lopa, and stylist Rocio Zobel, the evening also showcased select pieces from artist Takashi Murakami’s third collection as well as menswear creative director Pharrell Williams’ Fall-Winter 2025 Pre-Collection.
The moment guests reach the Chairman’s Villa, pin-striped decor referencing the beach umbrellas on Positano beach decorated the space’s entry way. This would lead guests to a display of stacked Louis Vuitton trunks with an event-exclusive red crocodile leather and rattan Capucines BB handbag sitting on top.
Within its glass walls and ocean-facing balcony, the villa was divided into three salons, featuring a curated selection of pieces for guests to visualize their “dream closets:” the womenswear and menswear rooms are placed at opposite ends of the space, the main hall showcased the women’s Resort 2025 collection, all while accompanied by Murakami’s cherry-colored bags and accessories.
Moments before the panel conversation, hyphenated models Raymond Gutierrez and Kylie Verzosa shared a moment with Vogue Philippines as they described how the collection resonates with their personal styles.
“I love that you can easily take the pieces from day to night,” shares Gutierrez, referencing the collection’s choice for relaxed silhouettes and lightweight materials. “My wardrobe doesn’t have to work as hard because the pieces are just easy like that, and I love that that makes my life easier as well.”
Verzosa later shared, “What I love about this collection is that it reminds me of the European summers I used to spend. It’s also still reflective of classic Louis Vuitton, but fresh with a nautical feel to it.”
As guests gathered in the main hall, the Notes on Style conversation then took place as Quinones and Zobel reflected on the influences and stories that paved their careers in fashion, with Lopa later sharing how travel encourages her curiosity for art and her chance encounter with Murakami himself on the streets of Hong Kong.
With music from DJ Yela Renee later filling the space, assortments of bespoke canapés and cocktails were then served to accompany the guests’ own conversations on style, travel, and savoir-faire. From bite-sized reiterations of the maison’s iconography to cherry-profiled cocktails and freshly-squeezed juices, each dish was crafted by the artisans at Solaire to reflect the captivating imagery of a coastal getaway.
“It always feels like a museum every time I dig into all the collections of Louis Vuitton,” actress Gabbie Garcia said. “And the fact that I’m also a fan of woven bags and lightweight clothes just makes me appreciate this collection even more.”
