The second half of the year has begun. While the erratic weather may seem to limit this month’s side quests, Metro Manila still has plenty to offer for every mood. This July, the city welcomes the season with exhibitions, concerts, festivals, and workshops. From printmaking to musical theater productions, here is your guide.
The M Museum Printmaking Series
For those interested in traditional printmaking techniques, the Metropolitan Museum of Manila is holding its Printmaking Series every Saturday from July through November 2026. The workshops offer step-by-step instruction on various printmaking techniques, allowing participants to experiment with color and create their own finished artworks.
The classes are led by Filipino printmakers Ambie Abaño, Henrielle Baltazar Pagkaliwangan, Jone Sibugan, and Anton Villaruel. To stay updated, follow the Metropolitan Museum of Manila’s Instagram page.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Amid the rainy season, theater is still in full swing. Organized by GMG Productions in association with Broadway International Group and Broadway Asia Company, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory runs until July 26 at the Theatre at Solaire. Karylle Yuzon joins the cast as Mrs. Bucket, the mother of the story’s protagonist, Charlie Bucket.
