Plastic has long been regarded as ordinary (if not wasteful), but Florence Tétier and Adriana Manso have spent years proving otherwise. While Tétier transforms found plastics, forgotten objects, and discarded fragments into sculptural jewelry, Manso has built La Manso around the radical idea that a simple plastic ring can become an object of desire. Their collaboration brings those parallel practices together, revealing a shared belief that luxury begins not with precious materials, but with imagination.
After exchanging messages online, the two met over a bottle of pastis in Marseille, where mutual admiration quickly turned into creative chemistry. “It came super naturally,” Tétier recalls. “A very ‘let’s do it’ moment.” Manso, meanwhile, had long admired Tétier Bijoux. “I was a super fan,” she says. “Suddenly Florence told me she was in Marseille, so we met and the magic started.”
For this collection, the designers turned to nature as both reference and process. Rather than focusing on flowers at their peak, they studied their different stages of maturation, scanning them over time to capture subtle shifts in texture, color, and form. Those observations became the foundation for a new series of jewelry that feels simultaneously organic yet intentionally man-made. “We wanted to go deeper into research and development, especially in terms of product and color,” they explain in a brand statement. “Working with flowers at different stages allowed us to develop new textures and nuances while staying true to our original language.”
The resulting capsule embraces tactile, sculptural forms in bold hues, while revealing a sophisticated layer beneath its playful exterior. Although their approaches are distinct, both designers are inclined toward transformation. Together, they blur the boundaries between the natural and the artificial, proving that familiar materials can carry unexpected beauty.
