For the second installation of Vivier Express, Eva Green hops on board with a surrealist narrative that plays on dreams.

The Vivier Express moves steadily along the tracks as dusk settles. Inside its private cabin, French actress Eva Green sits and watches the scenery pass by from her window, her reflection gazing back at her. As she glances down at her book, a passage captures her attention: “To wear dreams on one’s feet is to give a reality to one’s dreams.” As if in a haze herself, she finds her reflection in the window smiling back at her as if it were about to tell her a secret.

In this second installation of the Vivier Express: “Travelling Icons,” creative director Gherardo Felloni, Italian directors Andrea Danese and Nicolangelo Gelormini, and Studio Paura take the series for a turn into the classic film noir genre. A series of short films featuring Roger Vivier designs, Episode I starred Laura Dern, who had an intriguing encounter with a stranger aboard the train. For Episode II, Green wears a black tailored suit with red suede ‘I Love Vivier’ heels and a ‘Viv’ Choc bag, channeling Lauren Bacall and Bette Davis in To Have and Have Not or All About Eve.

“Films noir have always fascinated me. It’s a world where shadows speak, and every glance hides a secret. I wanted Eva to be our modern-day femme fatale, because she doesn’t just wear the shoes and accessories; she brings them to life, infusing them with a sense of danger and desire,” Felloni says.

Green shares her experience working with the Maison: “It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Gherardo Felloni. The first time I met him it was a complete ‘coup de foudre’ for the wonderful man and his beautiful shoes! I was delighted to be cast in his film for Roger Vivier and I look forward to sharing it with audiences.”
