The minimalist brand steps out with a bright color palette for fall.

When news broke that COS would debut its fall-winter 2022 collection during New York Fashion Week, we automatically knew it would be shopping heaven, especially for minimalists. After all, the label has been creating timeless designs since its inception in 2007. The announcement was blasted along with imagery of Paloma Elsesser, one of our favorite models, and actor Natasha Lyonne dressed in chic all-black outfits put together with fundamental pieces, which are the backbone to building a strong fall wardrobe.

Surprisingly, the beginning of the runway collection jolted away from a purely colorless palette; instead, we saw infusions of jubilant hues. For example, the opening look anchored a beige suit and trench with a colossal pink gradient scarf and a bright orange fuzzy clutch. In the same vein were bucket hats, sleeveless sweaters, and clingy maxidresses, all in an electrifying neon green hue. Splashes of zebra and plaid prints also made an appearance.

But eventually the line found its way back to the crisp, clean neutrals we’ve come to know and love from COS. With oversized suiting in boxy silhouettes, cozy textured sweaters, and coats that hover just above the runway floor, it’s a great place to find fall wardrobe essentials at a reasonable price.
