For their second Mojave Stage appearance, BINI wore retro-futuristic warrior looks, merging space-age polish with Y2K sensuality.

The “Nation’s Girl Group,” BINI, has once again proven their global mettle with a second high-octane performance at Coachella for Weekend 2.

This time on the Mojave Stage, the group deepened their cultural imprint. Introducing themselves in unison as “all the way from the Philippines,” each member went on to greet the desert crowd in her own local language: Maloi in Batangueño, Stacey in Ilocano, Aiah in Cebuano, Gwen in Bicolano, and Colet in Bisaya.

Not only did they showcase the archipelago’s linguistic richness to a global audience, but Filipino stars such as Anne Curtis-Smith, Piolo Pascual, and Kyle Echarri were also spotted in the California crowd, taking in the 45-minute set.

Switching up their Weekend 1 setlist, the group opened with “Strings” before moving into fan favorites “Zero Pressure,” “Out Of My Head,” “Karera,” and “Salamin, Salamin.” The momentum carried through “Blink Twice,” “Cherry On Top,” “Blush,” and “Bikini,” building to a fever pitch with the grand finale “Pantropiko,” complete with an electrifying dance break that left the audience in awe.

As always, BINI’s costumes served as the ultimate “Cherry On Top” to their commanding stage presence, fusing tropical elements with 1990s futuristic techno sensuality. The cohesive aesthetic was shaped under the direction of Ica Villanueva, in collaboration with Filipino designers Marian Zara, who created the custom looks, Job Dacon, who crafted the metallic bodysuits, and Raf Villas, who introduced the signature Y2K floral details.

The looks had touches of Thierry Mugler or Gianni Versace’s Fall/Winter 1994 collection, with its pastel metallics and high-gloss allure, famously captured by Richard Avedon and fronted by supermodel icons Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, and Stephanie Seymour.

As the sun sets on their Coachella chapter, the group’s global momentum shows no signs of slowing down. BINI is scheduled to perform at the Grammy Museum for the Global Spin Live! series on April 21, followed by an appearance at Billboard’s “Women in Music” event on April 29.
