11 Celebrity-Approved Lobs for When You Need a Little Refresh

In case you haven’t heard, it’s bobs, not florals, that are trending for spring. But if you’re not feeling quite as adventurous as Halle Berry (her cheekbone-length French bob is très chic) or Selena Gomez (her tousled tresses are ‘90s-approved), look no further than the “lob.”

Falling anywhere between the chin and the collarbone, the long bob (“lob” for short) is the go-to in-between cut. “It’s perfect for those who want a change, but don’t want to cut their hair too short,” hairstylist and founder of Salon Cheska María Baras previously told Vogue. The cut can be more blunt and angular (think Victoria Beckham in the early aughts) or more flowy and movement-driven, like Kim Kardashian’s “clavi-cut,” a specific “lob” that falls right at the collarbone.

“It’s incredibly versatile because it suits lots of different face shapes and can be easily adapted when styled,” Baras said, adding that it looks good with different hair parts and bangs, and can still be styled in an updo thanks to its length. So, if you’re in need of a little inspiration, here are some of our favorite “lobs.”
