From Elle to The Odyssey, Here Are the Films and Series Coming to Philippine Screens

This July, films and series such as Elle, Project Runway, and The Odyssey are coming to our screens.

This month, Elle Woods kicks off the string of anticipated releases with the prequel series, Elle. It’s followed by the release of Evil Dead Burn and The Long Walk, for those seeking some horror thrill. Meanwhile, the live-action version of Moana begins its voyage on July 10, while The Odyssey follows on July 15. And to top off the month, the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day comes out on July 29.

Elle

On July 1, Elle premieres on Prime Video. A prequel to Legally Blonde, Elle is a series that follows the high school years of Elle Woods. Starring Lexi Minetree as Elle, the story follows teenage Elle as she moves from Sunny Bel-Air to rainy Seattle.

Enola Holmes 3

The first day of July also brings the release of Enola Holmes 3. In the third installation of Enola Holmes, we follow Enola as her wedding to Lord Tewkesbury is derailed when her brother, Sherlock Holmes, is kidnapped. As she tracks the mystery to Malta, Enola balances her personal desires, a dangerous rescue, and a political conspiracy.

Evil Dead Burn

Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, Evil Dead Burn comes out on July 8. It follows Alice, a grieving woman who seeks comfort with her in-laws at a secluded winter home following her husband’s death. It quickly turns into a nightmare as her relatives begin transforming into violent Deadites one by one, forcing Alice to fight for her survival.

Moana

Ten years after the first animated film, Moana, the live-action film is set to release on July 8. The live-action stars Dwayne Johnson and Catherine Laga’aia as Maui and Moana, directed by Emmy and Tony Award-winning director Thomas Kail. An adaptation of the animated film, the film follows Moana as she answers the Ocean’s call to save her people.

Little House on the Prairie

On July 9, Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie will be available for streaming. Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s novels, it follows the Ingalls family as they leave Wisconsin to establish a “new forever” outside Independence, Kansas, dealing with 1800s frontier conditions, while confronting the reality of claiming land already inhabited by the Osage Nation.

The Long Walk

Released theatrically in 2025, The Long Walk will be available on Netflix on July 10. Based on the Stephen King novel, the film is set in an impoverished, totalitarian alternate 1970s America where the government uses a televised, brutal walking contest to inspire patriotism and control the destitute.

Project Runway Season 22

On July 10, Project Runway returns for its 22nd season. In celebration of its 22nd edition, the season introduces 22 designers and a new elimination twist. The season will be hosted by Heidi Klum, with resident judges Nina Garcia and Law Roach, as well as Tyra Banks joining as a recurring judge. Competing designers this season include Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Nola Gabriel, RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Plane Jane and Robert Crone, and returning designer Joseph Macrae.

Marc by Sofia

Earlier this year, Sofia Coppola’s Marc by Sofia premiered theatrically and had its Venice Film Festival debut in 2025. This July 16, the documentary will be available to stream on HBO Max. The film’s title is self-explanatory; this is Coppola’s portrait of Marc Jacobs, capturing the universe of the American fashion designer.

The Odyssey

On July 15, Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated film, The Odyssey, will hit the theaters. Based on Homer’s ancient Greek epic poem, it follows the legendary King Odysseus on a ten-year journey home after the Trojan war, where he must battle mythical monsters and meddling gods to reunite with his family and reclaim his kingdom.

Heartstopper Forever

After three seasons, Netflix’s Heartstopper ends the series with a feature-length finale film. Releasing on July 17, the film follows Nick and Charlie, who are deeply in love but are struggling with the realities of long-distance relationships as Nick prepares to leave for university and Charlie embraces his independence at school.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe

For fans of The Big Bang Theory, a new spinoff is coming your way on July 23. In Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, comic book store owner Stuart Bloom triggers a multiverse Armageddon after breaking a device built by Sheldon Leonard.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day

On July 29, the highly anticipated film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, hits the theaters. Set four years after the events of No Way Home, Peter Parker anonymously protects as a full-time superhero.

After its theater run earlier this year, The Drama comes to streaming on July 31. The A24 film follows a happily engaged couple, Charlie and Emma, whose wedding plans go askew when Emma shares the worst thing she’s done.
