Here’s Why You Should Add a Lilac Hue to Your Travel Plans

Whether it’s long-term travel or just a quick getaway, Rimowa makes a case for the color lilac

The color purple, in all of its shades, has been on a roll this year. In beauty, there’s the berry makeup trend, “mermaidcore” that highlights a shimmer of lilac on the eyelids, and sparkling purple nails. It has also been translated into homes with the shade of beet, which is this year’s go-to by interior designers. While most of the trends went for a deeper palette, Rimowa shifts its gears for a lighter hue with the Hybrid Lilac.

While the German lifestyle brand is known for its silver aluminum luggage, this isn’t the first time that they’ve ventured into color. There’s the vibrant red with its collaboration with Supreme, the signature blue-green of Tiffany & Co., and from its own line with Ginger Yellow, Sea Blue, and Jade Green.

The latest addition, the Lilac Hybrid, offers a refined update to Rimowa’s Hybrid collection. Known for its lightweight polycarbonate and durable aluminum, this collection is celebrated for balancing strength and elegance. The new lilac color combines subtle shades of lavender and pink, creating a fresh and modern look. The delicate purple hues contrast beautifully with the metal accents, producing a stylish two-tone appearance.

The Lilac Hybrid is available in both Cabin and Check-In L sizes, with useful features like TSA-approved locks, Flex Dividers for ideal packing, and a convenient telescopic handle.

The lightweight luggage isn’t just for one type of traveler; its versatility ensures it fits a variety of lifestyles and journeys. Whether it’s for a quick weekend getaway, a romantic trip, or a professional journey, the lilac brings a subtle elegance that also stands out among ordinary luggage.

Rimowa is located in Greenbelt 3, Rockwell Center, Shangri-La Plaza, Solaire Resort & Casino, and The Mall | NUSTAR in Cebu.
