It’s officially Broadway’s biggest night! The 2023 Tony Awards took place at the United Palace Theater in New York City. The star-studded awards ceremony—hosted by actor-singer-dancer Ariana DeBose for the second year in a row—honored some of the best productions and performances of the year. Up for accolades this evening? Plays and musicals such as A Doll’s House, Some Like It Hot, Cost of Living, Shucked, and Kimberly Akimbo, among many others.
Before the trophies were handed out on the main stage, however, photographer Corey Tenold gave Vogue a closer look at the red carpet—where Broadway’s finest mixed, mingled, and struck a pose for the paparazzi in their best evening fashions, of course.
With free rein to roam the step-and-repeat, Tenold captured all of the intimate moments with top talent—from Lupita Nyong’o to J. Harrison Ghee, Jessica Chastain to Kelli O’Hara, and Jodie Comer to Lea Michele—that you didn’t get to see elsewhere.
