Kim Jones will be made a Knight of the Legion of Honor after his Dior show tonight.

We’re in the midst of Men’s Fashion Week in Paris, and one brand on everyone’s lips is Maison Dior. Last week, it was announced that Kyoto’s Tō-ji Temple Garden will be hosting the brand’s Pre-Fall 2025 runway show in March.

After traveling to cities such as Seoul, Mumbai and New York, Dior has chosen Japan to be its next destination. Rich in visual identity and culture, the brand is paying homage to Christian Dior’s legacy with the country, who presented collections and sourced fine fabrics from Kyoto’s silk workshops for his couturier.

Built in 796 and founded by Emperor Kanmu, the UNESCO World Heritage Site was only one of three Buddhist temples allowed in the city when Kyoto was Japan’s capital. Subsequently, Maria Grazia Chiuri has chosen her home city of Rome to host the Cruise collection in April. In a statement, she claims the show will be “a symbolic ode to the powerful, perpetually reinvented cultural ties that have united Italy and the house since its foundation.”

Tonight Dior Men’s artistic director Kim Jones will be presenting his latest collection in Paris. After the show, Kim Jones will be made chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur at an award ceremony. The Légion d’Honneur is the France’s highest civilian decoration, and can be given to non-French citizens for actions that benefit the country.

The show will go live on January 24 at 10:00pm (Manila) or 3:00pm (Paris) and you can watch the livestream here.
