Meet The New Tribe of Models Taking Over NYFW

Photographed by Ami-Lou Williams

Fashion Month begins with New York Fashion Week, and Vogue Philippines has collected some of the best street style looks from behind-the-scenes in the city that never sleeps.

Fashion is an international epidemic, but each fashion capital still cultivates a distinct strain in style. In the West, New York represents the American Dream, with Uptown power dressing to Downtown urban streetwear. It’s a city where personal style expresses your identity and dreams, and there’s no better time to see the carnival of clothes than New York Fashion Week.

On the streets, attendees dressed according to the schizophrenic conditions of February weather with full-length coats, leather jackets, and lessons in layering. Vogue Philippines correspondent Ami-Lou Williams was posted outside the shows of Calvin Klein, Sandy Liang, Ulla Johnson, Coach, Tory Burch, and Michael Kors; ahead of the next slew of shows, look back at our personal favorite off-duty model style to take inspiration in this season, with appearances from Alex Consani, Julia Nobis, Mona Tougaard, and Paloma Elsesser.
