We’re officially eight days into spring – equinox was on 20 March—and our wardrobes deserve a refresh after a long winter. Multiple celebrities have pivoted their style for the new season already, including Sophie Turner, who has reintroduced white jeans.

For a recent outing in New York, the actor wore straight-leg, optic-white denim with a fuzzy alpaca wool-blend sweater from Totême—a piece she’s worn on repeat this year—square-toe heeled loafers and Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses. Turner rounded off her outfit with the ultimate stealth accessory: The Row’s minimalist Half-Moon bag in glaring white, which matched her jeans.

The combination leaned into “quiet luxury”—the collective term for the trending aesthetic that has swept the recent runways and is essentially a synonym for elevated, beautiful quality basics often hailing from the most respected design houses. This trend was epitomized on the spring/summer 2023 runways by Kate Moss’s turn in trompe l’oeil plaid shirting, jeans, and a vest top at Bottega Veneta. By its very definition, quiet luxury is the opposite of anything shouty and obviously designer—and Sophie Turner certainly gets this mood.
