Details define the night at the 2023 Met Gala as the stars stun in a dazzling array of jewels.

Every year, the Met Gala delivers its fair share of spectacle—from Jared Leto’s committed embodiment of Choupette to Lil Nas X in a speckling of Swarovski diamonds and not much else—but it’s the details that deserve the spotlight. See how the stars accessorized for the red carpet below.

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish’s custom Simone Rocha look is entrancing in all of its layers: an embellished bustier followed by a rush of delicate sheer lace, with silk ribbons flowing from sequined mesh opera gloves. Wound into it all—and quite effortlessly, too—are diamonds courtesy of Cartier. Billie’s selection is comprised of 18k white gold and platinum, with a mix of onyx, diamonds, emeralds, and rubies: the Cartier High Jewelry earrings, Cartier High Jewelry ring, and Cartier Love ring—to name a few.

Making his Met Gala debut, the K-Pop soloist and multihyphenate is sophisticatedly understated, wearing an all-black Louis Vuitton ensemble. He edges up the look with Cartier Juste en Clou earrings, the Cartier skeleton wristwatch, and the Panthère de Cartier ring.

Michelle Yeoh

The Academy Award-winning actress was a vision of grace in Karl Lagerfeld’s namesake label for the evening—the late designer’s day-to-day uniform was reimagined with billowing sleeves and a scooped neckline. Yeoh’s hair is pulled back, revealing a finishing flourish: the Cartier [Sur]naturel High Jewelry necklace, with earrings from the same set to match.
