Jasmine Curtis-Smith’s GMA Gala Dress Is A Collaboration Between Two Filipino Designers

Jasmine Curtis-Smith attends the 2024 GMA Gala wearing a Martin Bautista and Neil Felipp collaboration.

To prepare for the 2024 GMA Gala, actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith did three things: consistent hydration and meal times, plenty of rest the night before, and a skin rejuvenation appointment with Aivee Clinic. As for fashion, the aim was to have an ensemble that celebrated her natural curves and silhouette.

For this vision, she turns to designers Martin Bautista and Neil Felipp, who have collaborated to create the actress’ dress for the gala. The color palette is timeless: classic white and gold. Echoing the elegance of ancient Greek sculptures, the white fabric seamlessly contours her form. It also embodies the essence of a siren and pays homage to Bautista’s previous collection with a Siren Shell from Cebu.

“Our vision was to create a silhouette that enhances Jasmine’s statuesque beauty, with fabrics that seamlessly contour her form—almost as if they were a second skin,” shares stylist Claire Fernando. The look is also complemented with a ring, bangle, and earrings from Tiffany & Co.

“I was so happy and felt perfectly hugged by the dress when we tried it on for the first time!” Curtis-Smith says, gushing over the draping and the Siren Shell. “Couldn’t be more grateful that Claire’s vision, my stylist from Quarator Studio, came to life and was a success for us all!”

Fernando also shares her gratitude for Bautista and Felipp: “What truly captivates me about this look is the incredible time, love, and artistry poured into it by the exceptional talents of Martin Bautista and Neil Felipp. Their collaborative effort not only brings our vision to life but also exemplifies the exquisite craftsmanship and creativity that define this stunning look.”
