The K-Pop girl group released a new concept teaser video along with each members’ individual teaser photos.
South Korean girl group aespa’s newly-released teaser for their third mini-album, MY WORLD, has the girls looking ethereal in white. The video shows members Giselle, Winter, Karina, and NingNing walking along a cliff by the ocean, with the album’s intro playing in the background. MY WORLD is expected to continue the story of aespa in their own world; in a release from SM Entertainment, they explain that the teaser shows the moment aespa left the kwangya (the wilderness) and arrived in the real world.
Along with the video, the first set of individual teaser photos were released, featuring the members in different styles of white. It’s no surprise that the K-Pop group’s teaser photos resemble a fashion editorial, as they have previously collaborated with brands such as YSL Beauty and Polo Ralph Lauren. The group was the first K-Pop group to become brand ambassadors for Givenchy, and they are also the global brand ambassadors for Chopard.
Below is a breakdown of what each of them wore.
Karina
Karina can be seen donning a silk one-piece dress with a thigh-high slit from Korean brand KIMSIZU‘s Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Instead of wearing the matching silk pants from the runway, Karina’s look was styled with sheer white leggings and thigh-high white patent leather stiletto boots. The rest of her look was kept simple, with loose flowing hair, glass skin complexion and subtle peach eyes, blush, and lips.
NingNing
NingNing’s look is reminiscent of Coachella crochet fashion, with a beige and khaki crochet top over a white cropped tube top, a cream lace hooded vest, and a white lace skirt accessorized with a white knit belt that goes down to a knit leg warmer over chunky heels.
Giselle
Giselle is wearing a white lace mini-dress with off-shoulder sleeves and spaghetti cross-straps together with knee-high white stilleto boots. She had a similar color palette as Karina for her makeup, keeping the skin fresh with a hint of blush. Minimalist silver cross earrings round up the look, with her hair kept loose with a middle part.
Winter
Sporting this season’s slob haircut, Winter was wearing a sleeveless chiffon dress with a round neckline, ruffles and fringed feather details on top of a plain white bandeau and white miniskirt. She had a silver statement swirl bangle and matching rings as an accessories, and was the only one who was barefoot for the teaser.
MY WORLD will be released on May 8. A pre-release single, “Welcome To My World,” will be made available on May 2 through various music platforms along with the official music video.
