The new limited edition Chanel No. L’Eau Drop launches with an immersive experience at the Upper House in Hong Kong. For the launch, Hannah Pangilinan, BJ Pascual, and Bella Racelis get ready with Vogue Philippines.
“Once this fellow says ‘Marilyn, what do you wear to bed? So I said I only wear Chanel No.5,” Marilyn Monroe once shared in her April 1952 Time cover story. Since then, Chanel No.5 has been marked as one of the most recognizable perfumes in the world, even decades after its launch. And at the Upper House in Hong Kong, Chanel launches a modern take on the classic Chanel No. 5 perfume.
Inspired by Marilyn Monroe, Chanel’s New No. 5 L’Eau Drop strips down Chanel No. 5 to the essential scents that make the classic perfume–aldehyde, jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang–with the addition of citrus and cedarwood. The No. 5 is also repackaged in a new “drop” shape, inspired by Monroe’s well-quoted beauty anecdote.
To launch the new perfume, the Chanel No. 5 L’Eau Drop event invited publishers, content creators, celebrities, and house ambassadors to an immersive experience that takes them on an emotional journey. Each chapter of the journey centers on an emotion: mystery, bravery, love, desire, and joy, with installations such as a rain wall, a steamed mirror, a room full of desirable objects, and an interactive room where guests’ movements animate the space.
Before the event, Hannah Pangilinan, BJ Pascual, and Bella Racelis gave an exclusive glimpse to Vogue Philippines while getting ready for the launch.
