A number of guests came prepared to party, switching out to comfortable afterparty looks.
The Vogue Philippines Gala was a formal black and white affair, but for the afterparty, our guests let loose. This included changing into more dance floor-appropriate looks, switching out sweeping, floor-length silhouettes for bare legs and less constricting pieces.
Anne Curtis
Anne Curtis went through her personal archives for the Vogue Philippines Gala. She started off the night in a sharply tailored vintage Yves Saint Laurent suit, before changing into a full Louis Vuitton look. Curtis wore a pointed bib dress that features an LV Circle-embossed tab and leather chest strap. Beside her: kismet in the form of Bryanboy, who tops off a similar Louis Vuitton look, albeit full black look with a white tweed vest.
Bretman Rock
Bretman Rock changed from his ethereal, pearl-inspired Rajo Laurel dress to a y2k-leaning dance floor-perfect ruffled Fanci Club top. Styled by constant collaborator Brian Meller, these two looks played to Bretman’s wide range of style.
LA Aguinaldo
LA Aguinaldo started off the night in a Chris Nick suit, with a bow as a suprisingly feminine touch. At the afterparty, the model went much more casual: Aguinaldo wore Louis Vuitton’s take on the classic workwear jacket, complete with graphic black and white embroidery.
Michelle Dee
Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee started and ended the night in two purposely diverging styles. Her stylist Steven Coralde of Qurator Studio shares, “We wanted to achieve a contrast between her gala and afterparty looks, transitioning from the severity of her Chris Nick suit to the sweet, almost balletcore Toni Maticevski dress.” Dee also swept her hair up in a ballerina bun to complement her second look.
Nadine Lustre
Styled by Lyn Alumno in looks that reflected her affinity for edge with a touch of glamour, Nadine Lustre went from statement Mark Bumgarner corsetry to Louis Vuitton vinyl and wool. The vinyl Louis Vuitton dress reflects some of the fashion house’s signature codes, specifically classic silhouettes in a mix of luxe fabrics, as well as Lustre’s own personal advocacy not to wear leather products.
Pam Quiñones
Vogue Philippines Fashion Director Pam Quiñones wore a heavy, fully hand-beaded pearl deconstructed T-shirt and skirt look by local designer Jude Macasinag. In the evening, she flexed her signature styling chops reflecting rewear: she wore an upcycled leather biker bubble top by Nina Amoncio constructed from four leather jackets from Quiñones’ closet. She punctuated both looks with jewelry by Tiffany & Co.
