Appliqué

Appliqué is a decorative technique involving sewing one fabric piece onto a larger base fabric to create layered texture, pattern, or dimensional design elements and detail. Filipino designers frequently use appliqué to incorporate heritage motifs or textile fragments into contemporary garment silhouettes and modern construction.
