Septième Rebelle Unveils the Other Side of Sophistication With “Mischievous Desires”

The Filipino label’s 91-look 2027 holiday collection showcases a diverse range of materials, from feathers and lace to textured textiles.

What is sophistication if not visual imagery that conveys precision and physical balance? In fashion, the term has leaned more toward timeless style than trends. But designer Robert “Robbie” Bjorn Santos challenges this concept as he explores the other side of what the word means for Septième Rebelle’s holiday collection.

Now marking a decade in the industry, private luxury made-to-order label Septième Rebelle (or “Seventh Rebel”) launches its 2027 holiday collection, “Mischievous Desires.” The collection, shown at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, doesn’t seem to conform to what is universally accepted as neutrals, but rather highlights asymmetrical cuts, beadwork, and embroideryEmbroideryThe decorative stitching of designs onto fabric by hand or machine, central to Philippine formalwear. Having spent 10 years building its brand, the label continues to embrace its philosophy of individuality through considered silhouettes and its signature approach of revealing the wearer’s skin or erogenous zones.

The 164 pieces in the 91-look collection showcase a diverse range of materials, including silk, linen, tweed, feathers, lace, and textured textiles. Through these elements, Santos explores what he considers the provocative side of sophistication, balancing neutral and vibrant hues with considered cuts.

The collection explores the tension between playfulness and mystery, showing how multiple definitions of sophistication can coexist in a wardrobe.
