ArteFino celebrates a decade of uplifting local craft by bringing together more than 100 Filipino brands in a single showcase.

Working for a cause over the years is finally bearing fruit. Such is the case for ArteFino, which celebrates a decade of its movement supporting Filipino artisans and preserving traditional craftsmanship, becoming more than just a marketplace but a cultural movement.

An annual trade fair celebrating Filipino craftsmanship, design, and artisanal products, ArteFino was founded by Maritess Pineda, Armita Rufino, Susie Quiros, Cedie Lopez-Vargas, and Marimel Francisco. Now marking a decade of the movement, ArteFino continues to bring together local brands across fashion, food, beauty, home, and lifestyle in one curated shopping event. This year, ArteFino presents ArteFino: Isang Dekada, a four-day trade fair and experiential showcase featuring more than 100 Filipino brands across The Fifth, North Court, South Court, and the R1 Lifestyle Hallway at Power Plant Mall from July 30 to August 2.

When ArteFino began, its founders were clear about their purpose and vision: to promote locally made products while supporting Filipino artisan communities. “When we realized that we had a following, we knew that we couldn’t just keep selling. Rather, we needed to convey a message that would create impact,” the founders said.

Even with this milestone, the team agrees that its work is far from over. The goal is no longer to introduce something new at every fair, but to create experiences rooted in heritage, purpose, and meaning. ArteFino: Isang Dekada places responsible retailing at the center of its curation. The theme also shaped the collections of HeArteFino grantees, including Project Nova, Zarah Juan, and ANTHILL Fabric Gallery, whose works will be featured during the fair.

After working with ArteFino in previous years, scenographer Gino Gonzales returns to create this year’s Central Display. “We’ve always had a Central Display as a space where we could inspire our brand partners to look beyond the bazaar setup. It’s a continuous exploration of visual merchandising, which is very important especially for young or emerging brands.” Over the years, the Central Display has also featured the visual imaginings of Wynn Wynn Ong, Ito Kish, Leeroy New, Pat Pastelero of SPRUCE, Miguel Rosales, and Indy Ycasiano.

Beyond the Central Display, this year’s edition also puts collaboration at the forefront. ArteFino will launch Studio ArteFino, the movement’s retail extension, alongside Eats by ArteFino, which, apart from familiar flavors, will also feature a curated lifestyle store offering pantry staples, as well as home, dining, and entertaining wares.
