SB19 Set to Make History as the First Homegrown Filipino Act to Perform at Lollapalooza

From the baseball field to one of the world’s biggest music festivals, SB19 continues its string of milestones as it prepares to become the first homegrown Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza.
When SB19 made their debut in 2018, it didn’t take long for them to capture the attention of local audiences with their distinct sound in the P-Pop scene. As they built on that momentum during the pandemic with the release of their hit albums Get in the Zone and Pagsibol, it was only a matter of time before they climbed the Spotify charts and ultimately earned the title “Kings of P-Pop” from their fans. And this year, they are about to make history as the first homegrown Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza.
Lollapalooza is one of the biggest music festivals in the world, bringing together more than 100 artists across rock, hip-hop, electronic, and pop to perform at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois. Among them is SB19, who will perform on the Allianz Stage on July 31, 2026, at 4:30 A.M. Philippine time. They will share the stage with artists including Pearly Drops, Bad Nerves, Audrey Hobert, and Wet Leg.
Few months ago, the group concluded its Simula at Wakas world tour, becoming the first Filipino act in history to headline and sell out two consecutive shows at the Philippine Arena, the world’s largest indoor arena. They also achieved a string of sold-out shows across international stops, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, three major U.S. cities, and three Canadian cities.
With this success came a growing sense of responsibility, something the group has embraced. “I think one of the challenges that we have already been doing is honing the next generation of talents in the Philippines. So we have this company called 1Z Entertainment. We’re honing and training groups right now to be the next performers in the Philippines,” said Pablo, the group’s leader, in an interview with Vogue Hong Kong during one of their tour stops.
The milestones keep coming for SB19. Just days after becoming the first Filipino group to throw a ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game, the group now turns its attention to one of the biggest stages in music.
