Before a stellar lineup of performances at the Philippine Arena, the Asia Artist Awards nominees hit the step and repeat in their finest. Below, see the best red carpet looks of the night.

Last Thursday, the 8th Asia Artist Awards kicked off at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. Previously held at the Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan last year, the awarding body plans to host the annual event across different countries in Asia. This year, Filipino fans were treated to highly anticipated appearances and performances on their shores.

Centered on feting Asian artists and their contributions to film, television, and music, the Asia Artist Awards has had the likes of BTS, Blackpink, and Red Velvet grace its stage, among other world-renowned acts. At the Philippine Arena, SB19 opened the evening on a high, sharing a stage with Japanese boy band &Team for a flash rendition of ‘Gento.’ Between award categories, the program lined up stellar performances from the K-pop megastars of the moment: NewJeans, Le Sserafim, and Seventeen BSS, and more.

Before the festivities unfolded inside, however, the nominees took to the red carpet, ruled by white and noir ensembles with an emphasis on texture and tailoring. SB19, dressed by Francis Libiran, donned clean-cut suits broken up by detailed embroidery on Piña, while Stray Kids opted for different cuts and textures, from denim to wool to tweed.

There were stars who added fresh pops of color to the mix, with NewJeans’ pop-punk-inflected stylings to Seventeen BSS’ Gucci printed suits and bedazzled bowties.
