From a year-long breakout to balanced, glowing skin, the young creative talks about finding calm, inside and out, through Belo Medical Group’s neurocosmetic approach.

When asked what great skin means to her, Rocio Zobel doesn’t talk about flawlessness. “More than just clear and glowing skin, it’s about having and feeling very balanced from the inside,” she explains. “Great skin definitely means also taking care of myself, through so many different aspects in my life, whether it’s food, health, and so many different things that affect your skin ultimately. Beauty and well-being are interconnected. You can’t have one without the other.”

That perspective became even more relevant when she experienced acne breakouts for over a year. Constant travel, environmental stress, and high activity levels left her skin reactive and unpredictable. Through Dr. Vicki Belo, Zobel was introduced to Belo Medical Group’s newest science-backed innovation, Neurocosmetics. The aesthetic clinic describes it as a range of treatments that works with the brain-skin connection to restore balance where stress shows up most: the skin.

“Belo Neurocosmetics influences what triggers skin inflammation and helps your skin stay calm and quiet,” explains Dr. Belo. “This results in healthy and glowing skin after our treatments.”

For the 22-year-old, her entry point into Neurocosmetics was the Belo NeuroGlow Facial, a treatment developed for acne-prone, oily, or sensitive skin, especially skin that reacts to harsher procedures. During her Belo Day, she shared exactly why the facial resonates with her.

“[It’s] my beauty hack to get perfect skin,” shares Zobel. “I’ve been having acne breakouts since last year and it’s only now [going to] be my second time trying this facial.” After 60 minutes of the Belo NeuroGlow Facial, she says that she noticed improvements quickly. “Ever since, it’s been much clearer, significantly less oily, and my skin texture has been great.”

The Neurocosmetics suite is built on five targeted procedures, each addressing how emotional, mental, and environmental stressors influence the skin. According to the brand, the Belo NeuroGlow Facial is designed for acne-prone, oily, and sensitive skin types, ideal for those who may not respond well to traditional facials and peels. The Belo NeuroLift Facial includes steps intended to provide lifting and brightening effects, while the Belo NeuroRepair Treatment is a doctor-performed procedure that incorporates ExoComplex®, PRP, and peptides aimed at repairing and strengthening skin. The aesthetic clinic also offers the Belo NeuroBright Treatment, which uses methods to address tone irregularities as well as the Belo NeuroBright Eyes, a 15-20 minute created for the under-eye area.

Neurocosmetics has also been integrated into the routines of Belo’s roster of brand ambassadors, such as Pia Wurtzbach, Alyssa Valdez, Charlie Fleming and BINI Aiah. At the launch of the brand’s line, Drs Hayden Kho and Vicki Belo were joined by ambassadors and friends of the brand including BJ Pascual, Kaila Estrada, Vania Romoff, Camille Co, Christi McGarry, and Bethany Talbot.

According to Belo Medical Group, this move of introducing Neurocosmetics is a continued movement toward future-ready skin innovations grounded in emerging dermatological science.
