Told through its refreshed design language and feature sets, Hyundai believes sustainable technologies will be the new standard for shared travel
In 2019, Hyundai Worldwide adopted a refreshed outlook, which recontextualized the brand’s identity as an automotive manufacturer into a mobility solution provider, later defining the future of its visual ethos and the purpose of its vehicles.
“Hyundai’s new design language is referred to as ‘Sensuous Sportiness’,” shares Mark Parulan, general manager for Marketing in Hyundai Motor Philippines. “We do this through disruptive innovation, which not only carries advanced feature sets, but creates a sustainable future for the next generation through mobility.”
Initially characterized by the return of its IONIQ series a year later, the Korean automaker has since translated the full-electric line’s geometric blueprint for its main lineup of vehicles, all while retaining the design qualities that resonate in familial and environmentally-conscious travel. “On top of manufacturing vehicles with less carbon emissions, we have also used sustainable and reusable materials to develop the car seats for the IONIQ series, such as recycled plastic bottles, flaxseed oil, bio paint from extracted plant oil, and twisted wool-like fabric extracted from sugar cane,” shares Parulan.
In reflection of Hyundai’s vision to pursue “Progress for Humanity,” the brand has also released new and updated features to its ensemble of mobile solutions, which work simultaneously with its hybrid and full-electric engines. Parulan also adds, “Our cars are designed to focus on the things that are essential in life. From the materials used and the interchangeable orientation of its seat design, to the technologically advanced features that gratify the human senses, all are made with a level of detail that aims to achieve the best personalized experience for everyone.”
Among the brand’s current lineup, the All-New Hyundai SANTA FE Hybrid was unveiled with an overhaul to its two-decade spanning look, introducing a passenger-focused experience through its internal and external design. “This mid-sized SUV not only provides perforated leather seats and wide leg, head, and shoulder room, but it offers convenience as well through its dual wireless charging pads, panoramic curved display, and an exclusive Hybrid technology that optimizes driving comfort with our e-Comfort drive feature,” Parulan details.
As the brand aims to see its new visual language adopted throughout its remaining lineup, the marketing general manager promises that “these initiatives aim to contribute to creating a more sustainable future for the next generation. Whether a local or international campaign, Hyundai delivers one message: do everything for the “Progress for Humanity”
