Louboutin Warms Up for S/S 2026 with New Cassia Silhouettes

Inspired by Christian Louboutin’s lifelong romance with dance and the theatre, the new Cassia line takes center stage for S/S 2026.
Before he made the undeniably recognizable red-lacquered stilettos, Christian Louboutin was a young boy who’d sneak into the cabaret to catch glimpses of the Parisian showgirls on stage.
In his eyes, the performers were dazzling “birds of paradise.” His days watching from the seats led him to an internship at the Folies Bergére where he fetched coffee and glued jewelry onto costumes. Soon after, his romance with the theater grew into a long history of collaborating with dancers and ballerinas. He was entirely enamored by the glamor of Parisian nightlife.
This gave way to his first ballet-inspired shoe designs that appeared as far back as 1999. More than 2 decades later in 2025, the pointe shoe reprised its role in the Louboutin catalog with the Cassia line taking center stage.
Following its pirouetting success, this unique range has been expanded for Spring/Summer 2026 to include all-new styles. The return of this silhouette comes at the heels of the Balletcore trends that have gained popularity since 2024. While it takes the characteristic block-toed shape, the groundbreaking original Cassia shoe returns in several new incarnations.
A practical elastic band across the instep is being introduced, along with an all-new ballerina flat edition that recalls the elegance of a true dance shoe. All releases will be available in classic blush satin fabric, and black nappa leather editions. Summer bears more gifts as new Cassia interpretations are also being introduced. A high-heeled mule, designed to elongate the leg, will be available in smooth black.
