Guests went on an olfactory journey to faraway lands
For over two decades, Jo Malone London fragrances have taken us to different places, evoked strong feelings and lingering emotions.
At the relaunch of its Cologne Intense line, the British fragrance brand gathered guests at The Shooting Gallery for an intimate and immersive experience. From the eight fragrances, guests went through a range of experiences, going from the depths of oud to the heights of fresh florals and spicy accords. They were also introduced to an updated bottle design resembling precious stones and jewels.
“We often look to rituals, ceremonies, and local traditions as a starting point. I like to imagine a mysterious midnight garden, filled with all the ingredients we have been inspired by. It could be Indian jasmine sambac, vanilla from Madagascar, or myrrh from the Namib desert,” says Céline Roux, global head of fragrance at Jo Malone London on their inspiration for the eight-piece collection.
Guests were brought to the dining area and welcomed by Camille Oloan, brand manager of Jo Malone London Philippines. In attendance were stylist Liz Uy, creative director Vince Uy, fashion blogger Laureen Uy, actors Bela Padilla and Ria Atayde, and Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters.

Mina Manuel, education manager of Jo Malone London Philippines, acquainted guests with the Cologne Intense fragrance notes. Fragrance strips were lined up on the table, allowing attendees to partake in a scent story and discover the origin of each note.
“Whether we’re working with oud, vanilla, jasmine, or hibiscus as key ingredients, all of our Cologne Intense fragrances have a really warm, sensual and mouthwatering dimension that draws you to them. That feeling is at the heart of the Cologne Intense experience,” says Roux.
With the mood set for an alluring night, friends of Jo Malone London were fetêd with a three-course meal by Bizu.
The Jo Malone London Cologne Intense collection brings together faraway sceneries, traditions, and ingredients to create a range of scents that evoke the very best of British style. The line includes Oud & Bergamot, Jasmine Sambac & Marigold, Cypress & Grapevine, Myrrh & Tonka, Velvet Rose & Oud, Tuberose Angelica, Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, and Vetiver & Golden Vanilla.
