Spanish retail brand Mango unveils a ready-to-wear collection that is meant for every occasion.
It’s a few days into May and with it comes the scorching heat and the desire to find light and comfortable clothing. Whether you are looking for casual clothes for everyday activities or something a bit on the formal side for special occasions, there are ready-to-wear options that are lightweight and breathable.
For one, natural materials like cotton, linen, and silk allow for better air circulation, keeping you cool and comfortable. When it comes to colors, pastels, bright shades, and floral prints are the versatile top-of-minds.
To help you enjoy the season in comfort and style, we’ve explored Mango’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Below is a series of loose tops, jumpsuit overalls, and flowy dresses that all come in vibrant colors, pleated fabrics, 3D flower details, and mesh and satin effects, giving you a sense of laid-back luxury in every article of clothing.

Season’s staple
Sundresses can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Go for ruffles to exude a feminine spirit, or florals for a more romantic allure. The ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly shows just that when she took to Instagram a snap of one of her on-screen looks: a ruched Mango dress with puffy sleeves and blue floral prints, paired with a bright pink pair of heels.

Shiny, soft, and satin
Flowy satin dresses are ever-graceful, whether you’re headed for coffee or a picnic in the park. Kicking the look up a notch, you can go for a silhouette that accentuates your body shape and complement it with a metallic pair of heels. And when it comes to rocking a satin slip dress out in the streets, Lily James is a force to be reckoned with. The 34-year-old Pam & Tommy female lead was spotted in London strutting in a lustrous silvery satin piece under a leather maxi coat.

Asymmetry and pleats
Flowy satins in bold colors give a fun and personality to your overall outfit, while fringes add a retro touch. Take your cue from Simone Ashley, the star of Netflix’s Bridgerton series, who was spotted casually walking down the streets of New York in a Mango electric green satin coords, which is an obvious reference to the outfit worn by Gwyneth Paltrow in the movie Great Expectations.

All-in-one
A flexible option, jumpers and rompers can be worn for a day at the beach, a Sunday brunch, or a night out with friends. For the Queen Letizia of Spain, who strolled around the city center of Palma de Mallorca in 2019, a khaki linen jumpsuit from Mango accessorized by a mini wicker basket bag would do.

Down to the details
3D flower details in clothing are a playful and exciting trend for the maximalists. They can either be paired with linens in neutral colors, or be layered over a dress for an added dimension. Jot down style notes from celebrities by the likes of Hailey Bieber, Zendaya, and Emily Ratajkowski, who were the first to test out the surreal flowery look.
