Tropical Storm Paeng (internationally known as Nalgae) barreled through the Philippines over the weekend, with dragging in torrential rain and strong winds of up to 75 kilometers per hour on Friday, October 28, through Saturday. This caused widespread flooding and damage, particularly across provinces in the South, particularly Cotabato on Mindanao.
During the typhoon’s onslaught, 45 casualties were reported so far, with 14 people missing and over 8,000 temporarily homeless.
