The 2026 Emmy Awards had everything: host Mariska Hargitay frequently breaking into song; Nick Offerman waxing poetic about “erotic house painting”; John Mulaney reading an excerpt from A Guy’s Guide to Being a Man’s Man; cameos from Jalen Brunson and Taylor Swift; plus moving tributes to the likes of Dolly Parton, Catherine O’Hara, Rob Reiner, and James Burrows.

Off-camera, the ceremony also featured all manner of charming meet-ups between celebrity friends, co-stars, and plain-old mutual admirers: Nicole Kidman posing with Michelle Pfeiffer and the Fanning sisters; Sally Field embracing Noah Wyle and Colman Domingo; Odessa A’zion cozying up with Sheryl Lee Ralph and Lisa Ann Walter…the list goes merrily on and on.
