The new trailer gives a first peek into Halle Bailey as Ariel, as well as other major characters of the beloved classic.

One hundred days before the release of the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, Disney has released a new trailer featuring the movie’s major characters.

More a teaser at just 30 seconds long, the clip is set to the sample of Halle Bailey singing “Part Of Your World” that was used in the previous trailer. We see Bailey for the first time, swimming and singing in the ocean as Ariel. The trailer also gives us a glimpse into Ariel’s world with mermaids and other sea creatures.

For the first time, we also see Prince Eric, played by English actor Jonah Hauer-King, in a scene where he and Ariel look like they are about to kiss. At the end of the trailer, we get a sample of Ursula’s cackle from Melissa McCarthy, which captures the spine-chilling, diabolical quality of Patricia Ann Carroll, who voiced Ursula in the original animated film.

“I’m so very excited to continue the #Disney100 celebration with this new look at #TheLittleMermaid,” Bailey wrote on her Instagram post sharing the new trailer.

The Little Mermaid is Rob Marshall’s live-action reimagining of the 1989 Oscar-winning animated musical classic. Apart from Bailey, Hauer-King and McCarthy, the film’s cast includes Tony Award-winner Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Oscar winner Javier Bardem as King Triton Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Flounder and Awkwafina as the voice of Scuttle.

The movie will be released exclusively in theaters on May 26 this year.
