Tonight, the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards return live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The event comes after a hiatus in 2022, when the ceremony was put on pause after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA)—which selects the nominees and winners for the night—was accused of both financial and ethical missteps. (Among other claims, the HFPA is being accused of self-dealing, and has also been called out for the ongoing lack of diversity within its nomination lists.)

This year’s event will be hosted by the comedian Jerrod Carmichael, who won an Emmy for his HBO special Rothaniel and has also starred in the sitcom The Carmichael Show. Some of the night’s top nominees include Blonde’s Ana de Armas, Everything Everywhere All at Once’s Michelle Yeoh, Tár’s Cate Blanchett, and The Woman King’s Viola Davis, among many others.

Shortly before the A-listers head into the ceremony and pick up their accolades, however, they will be hitting the red carpet in their best formal wear. The Golden Globes have a long history of delivering glamorous gowns on the step and repeat after all (though given this year’s climate, it will be interesting to see how the stars dress). It’s the first major red carpet of awards season 2023, though stars like Yeoh have already kicked off the celebrations on a bold note (the actor wore a surreal Schiaparelli design to the Palm Springs International Film Festival just last week.) Blanchett also turned heads in an archival Armani Privé jumpsuit last week. Here’s to hoping more stars will embrace vintage this evening.

Below, see what all your favorite stars wore to the 2023 Golden Globes—and be sure to check back in real time for live updates throughout the night.
