In 2025, big changes are coming. To prepare for the new year, astrologer Wiji Lacsamana shares an astrological forecast according to the rising signs.
In 2025, changes will come as nodes change astrological signs. An essential component in astrology forecasts, nodes are the symbolic eclipse that astrologically relate to fortune and the soul. For the past two years, we have been going through Aries and Libra eclipses, which will soon shift to Pisces in Virgo. The north node will be in Pisces, indicating a greater shift towards spirituality, trust, faith, and imagination. Meanwhile, the south node will be in Virgo, urging us to let go of control and criticism towards ourselves.
The planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are also shifting signs. As slow-moving planets, shifting signs are significant as they often stay in one sign for years. “It’s always a big deal, and it will affect the collective very much. So the energy will be much different than it was this year,” says astrologer Wiji Lacsamana.
To prepare for the year ahead, Lacsamana shares what’s in store for you in 2025, according to your rising sign.
Aries Rising
For those who have Aries as their rising sign, there will be big changes arising in 2025. There will be several big planetary movements in Aries, such as Venus retrograding Aries, and Neptune and Saturn going into Aries. This indicates shifts in discipline, particularly in how they present themselves and pursue their dreams. “It’s one thing to dream big, but it’s another thing to come up with discipline towards realizing those dreams and how you present yourself to the world,” she says.
Aries rising signs are also being called to let go of people-pleasing, and there will also be great shifts toward home and family matters. “How do you connect more spiritually, especially with the people in your home or the people you identify with family?” Lacsama says. There is also a big potential for moving to a different place.
Taurus Rising
In 2024, Taurus rising signs may have experienced a change in terms of identity, a “rebranding” of sorts. In 2025, there will be changes in how they communicate and unexpected surprises when it comes to neighbors, siblings, and domestic travel. Spiritual shifts are also in place for Taurus rising signs, such as a more disciplined study towards “something spiritual” you’ve always wanted to learn.
“There also will be a helpful energy toward creating something new in your life. Your dreams and wishes are being balanced by grounding energy,” she says.
Gemini Rising
This year, Gemini rising signs saw an expansion in their sense of self and perhaps even in their physicality. In 2025, there will be a potential for expansion in terms of finances. “How do you create money with care? In the ways that you create money, how do you nurture yourself and others with this?” Lacsamana says.
There is a possibility of committing to something career-wise. There will be a lot of shifts in terms of career, as the social life is ruled by Aries. Next year, there may be people in your life who will reveal themselves as who they truly are, and you will see their worth in your life.
Cancer Rising
Cancer rising signs can expect an expansion in your sense of self. In 2025, they may feel more confident, as Jupiter will be in their house relating to the self. There will be shifts in their career life, particularly taking more disciplined action towards their dream. There also may be a shake-up in terms of faith and spirituality in 2025.
Leo Rising
Leo rising signs will see shifts in how they deal with one-on-one partnerships, whether it be romantic or platonic. These partnerships will help them reflect on who they truly are and who they aspire to be. There will also be more emphasis on their spiritual life, with surprises and a new light cast into that area of their life.
Virgo Rising
Virgo rising signs are being called to let go of perfectionism. “There should be more flow,” Lacsamana says. “How do you make your relationships more fluid, more spiritual?” Socially, it will be a good year for them, as there will be an expansion in the way their social group nurtures each other along with their dreams and hopes. There might also be shake-ups in terms of taxes, insurances, and inheritances.
Libra Rising
In 2025, there will be transformations in terms of romance and creativity. “There could be something here that you are shedding, like patterns that are no longer working,” she says. In terms of one-on-one partnerships, there will also be significant changes or shifts. There could also be more potential for commitments: “It doesn’t mean you’re going to commit right away, but you’re really starting to think about relationships for the long run and what you can do to preserve these relationships.” Lacsamana says. Opportunities for international travel and higher education may also come.
Scorpio Rising
For Scorpio rising signs, there will be changes in their home life, or perhaps secrets could emerge in relation to their childhood or home. 2025 will be a more imaginative and creative year, and there will also be more opportunities for disciplined action towards work. There will also be more discipline in their daily routines and wellness. Opportunities for international travel or higher education will also arise.
Sagittarius Rising
Opportunities for transformation in terms of communicating with others will come, as well as a transformative relationship with their siblings or neighbors. There will also be a focus on their home, as the eclipses will happen in their fourth house. This indicates that there will be changes in home life and the people in their home. They will also be more active in their creative life or romance.
“There’s a potential for a new relationship, but it’s a potential for a relationship that you actually have to work hard on,” Lacsamana says. “It’s not just going to land on your lap.” There is also more expansion in terms of shared resources, there could be a potential with living with a partner if they aren’t already.
Capricorn Rising
Transformations in how they value themselves and money will arise for Capricorn rising signs. The eclipses will happen in their third house, which indicates a deeper communication with neighbors or your siblings. “And it’s also encouraged for you to write and speak your spiritual truths more,” she says. In the home and creative front, there will be more disciplined movements or actions toward their goals.
Aquarius Rising
Aquarius rising signs will be undergoing a shift with how they present themselves, brought by Pluto moving into their first house. In 2025, there will also be shifts in finances and valuing themselves. “When it comes to money, there will be a revolution in the way you see, accept, and give away money. It’s a more spiritual aspect,” she says. Next year will be an opportunity for Aquarius rising signs to study communication or verbalize their thoughts in an authentic way.
Pisces Rising
For Pisces rising signs, there will also be shifts in the way that they present themselves, brought by the eclipses happening in their first house. “How do you communicate the entirety of you more than just the superficial version of you?” Lacsamana says. It also asks Pisces rising signs to examine fluidity in the way they relate to others, to be less critical of partnerships, and how to have more flow as opposed to a structured relationship to their significant others.
“2025 is the year you learn how to be the best possible partner for your partner. But if you are single, this is a great practice also to be in service to the people that you love,” she adds.
