Today, thousands descended on the streets surrounding Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, who was officially crowned alongside Queen Consort Camilla eight months after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. The events revolved around a two-hour service at the Abbey—plus, of course, the stately procession that preceded and followed it—but there were plenty of other moments throughout the historic day that even the news programming that was beamed around the globe might have missed.
