Gianna Jun models Daniel Lee’s new visions for Burberry.
Daniel Lee’s debut collection for Burberry dazzled, but not in the ways audiences expected. The storied fashion house saw a revival of its signatures by way of dry humor, luxe functionality, and English eccentricity. A long-sleeve T-shirt emblazoned with the words “Winds of Change” heralds a period of growth for the brand, knights errant in an electric shade of blue.
Here, the collection takes form on Gianna Jun, who prides herself on her dedication to her craft—one that requires a certain amount of self-shedding to achieve a fully realized onscreen transformation. “In acting, I really try to empty my mind and my body so that the character can be completely absorbed into my own,” she told the brand.
Named Burberry’s first South Korean female ambassador last year, Jun sees the brand’s transition firsthand, embracing Lee’s vision wholeheartedly. After all, the actress was never one to shy away from change.
