Ahead of the Vogue Studios Philippines Launch Party, Vogue Philippines spent an afternoon with 18-year-old rising talent Jarren Garcia for an exclusive peek into his pre-event rituals.

Born and raised in London, Jarren Garcia made his first TV appearance on The Voice Kids UK in 2020. Now based in Manila, he has captured audiences’ attention as a cast member on Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 and as a singer on the ASAP variety show stage. After becoming one of MYX’s new video jockeys last November, he opened 2025 with the release of his self-titled debut album, which quickly topped the iTunes Philippines Album Chart.

In his Get Ready With Me video, Jarren prepares for his first Vogue Philippines event by relaxing to indie pop and classic R&B with his team. “My makeup artist, Ate Aimee, is connected to the speakers all the time and she’s always playing the best music,” he shares. “That’s how we prep. We jam before every event.”

Excited to dress in a full Gucci look for the party, Jarren talks about exploring his interest in fashion and finding his wardrobe essentials. While reflecting on the growth of his personal style, the performer expressed values such as balancing comfort with elegance, an observation he picked up from the musicians he admires.

With eight original tracks out in the world, Jarren says there’s more on the way. “I plan on making new music soon. I’m actually in the process of making my own songs,” he shares. While preparing at a leisurely pace feels best for the recording artist, it’s clear that when it comes to his creative pursuits, Jarren is full speed ahead.

Watch Jarren Garcia get ready and reveal his style inspirations, night-out essentials, and more on the Vogue Philippines YouTube channel.
