Fall 2022 Fashion Trends To Wear From Head To Toe

Fendi, Dion Lee and Versace

The biggest takeaway from the Fall 2022 runways is this season, it’s all about accentuating your body. From nipped waists to sloped shoulders, zoom into the new fashion zones with clothes that flatter. Below, a rundown of Fall 2022’s biggest trends and how to wear them from head to toe. Domain dressing has never looked so desirable.

HEAD

ROCHAS F/W 2022

We suggest that you take cover, byway of the season’s surprising trend: attached hoods, of course. Attached to tops and dresses, the head-hugging covering provides the protection of a beanie without the added accessory. Look to Simone Rocha’s cable knit ensemble—a puff -sleeve top with micro shorts to match—for a look that you can wear on its own or worn under your favorite blazer.

CLAVICLES

BOTTEGA VENETA F/W 2022

The decolletage will always be titillating territory. This fall-winter, the spotlight is on the clavicles. For optimal emphasis, look to lingerie: thin-strapped, light, and daring. This sleek number by Bottega Veneta is strategic in its sheerness, making for a bold but classy one-piece ensemble.

SHOULDERS

DOLCE & GABBANA F/W 2022

There’s the harder edged suit set, but there’s also a shoulder movement that likes to keep it on the low. Dolce & Gabbana’s take involves an oversized blazer with soft curves that slant down, wearable on its own as a dress or as part of the usual slouchy blazer and trouser set. Done right, a sloped style gives a more natural shape, and a gentler way to do oversized.

ARMS

LOEWE F/W 2022

An enduring sartorial item, designers are giving the basic white tank top a second life. On the runway, the likes of Loewe and Chloé make subtle renovations to form: by emphasizing the scoop, lowering the neckline, or slimming the straps. Whatever the occasion, the white tank is a no-brainer for effortless pairing with anything.

STOMACH

ALTUZARRA F/W 2022

Make way 90s fashion, the 2000s are in full resurgence. For an adventurous foray into Y2K style, look to the crop top and its variances. Midriffs aren’t just being teased—they’re being displayed in full. Start with Altuzarra, who does the crop in a slinky, knit iteration, with long sleeves for coverage to counter the uncoverage.

WAIST

DION LEE F/W 2022

Thank the corset: we have a life hack for the waist and an instant hourglass figure.  is season, designers’ corseted garments were fashioned into tops, pants, and coats. Dion Lee in particular introduced their fall-themed version, reimagining the boned, waist-enhancing piece in tan shearling, complete with buckle-accented gloves.

LEGS

LOEWE F/W 2022

The LCD or the little colored dress is another spin on the mini— fit for occasions well beyond the evening. Loewe creates this surrealist sculptural piece–wind blown creases frozen mid-movement, a metaphor for freedom and for fashion  outing rules. Ambush from daytime, to desk, to dinner, this leg-baring one-piece is never not in season.

ANKLES

JACQUEMUS F/W 2022

Hello, ankles. Welcome to the season’s bone to bare. The runway saw enough iterations of slits and flares to kick your sartorial game in high mode. Be it fit and cut-away at Jacquemus or printed and sheer at Rave Review, one thing’s clear: it’s a flatter your feet moment with ankles enjoying the spotlight.
