Throughout her record-breaking Eras Tour, Taylor Swift’s approach to stage style has been consistent—consistently glitzy, that is. The singer doesn’t have a whole song called Bejeweled for nothing: Swift has favored looks replete with shimmering crystals and beads, choosing designs that are sure to dazzle under the stage’s bright lights.
Many of her spellbinding pieces are by Zuhair Murad, a designer known for his intricate beadwork. And at tonight’s latest performance at Wembley Stadium in London, Swift unveiled a brand new Murad bodysuit. The bedazzled navy design was covered in a constellation of silver stars and half moons, with a fringe of blue and silver beads along the hemline. The design took the Zuhair Murad atelier over 120 hours to create (about three weeks of dedicated work); It features 180 stars in various sizes, as well as 10,500 crystal beads.
“For this version, Taylor had a vision of stars and moons,” says Murad of his latest creation. “I think this new iteration is our best yet, with symbolism that blends Taylor’s inspiration and my love for romanticism perfectly. I’ve always designed strong silhouettes, and I think that naturally translates well to the stage.
Tonight’s Zuhair Murad outfit is the fourth bodysuit the designer has created for Swift’s Eras Tour. She has also worn custom looks by Versace, Elie Saab, and more.
