Model and activist Lauren Wasser’s Met Gala 2026 red carpet look was gilded and glorious. The child of two models herself, Wasser has dedicated herself to raising awareness about toxic shock syndrome after losing her right leg in 2012, and then her left one in 2018 due to complications.
She embraced this year’s theme “Fashion Is Art” in a short, two-piece gold lamé suit by Prabal Gurung—something of a signature look for Wasser, who accessorized with layered diamond chains, chunky rings, and a bold timepiece. She knotted an embellished bandana around her long platinum blonde hair.
Wasser also attended Vogue’s pre-Met party last Friday at Madame Tussauds in a spliced sequin Area dress with slick-backed hair and a compact Judith Leiber clutch.
