BTS’ Jimin Brings High Drama in Jonathan Anderson’s Dior

As BTS returns to Stade de France for a two-day concert, Jimin takes the stage in four Dior ensembles as the group sets a new attendance record.
Arirang is historical in context, but it is also nostalgic. This marks the first time BTS has returned to Stade de France, seven years after their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour in 2019. It was that same year when then-Dior artistic director Kim Jones first worked with the group, creating custom-designed tour outfits for the members. Now, BTS is back at the same stadium for their Arirang tour, with Park Jimin taking the stage in Dior as one of the household names of the French house.
Following their full-group reunion and the release of their fifth studio album, Arirang, the Arirang World Tour is BTS’ global concert tour spanning more than 85 dates across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Their performance in Paris marked the grand finale of the European leg of the tour, which was also attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron.
As a global ambassador for Dior, Jimin wore four distinct custom ensembles designed by creative director Jonathan Anderson for the Paris shows. Opening the show with high-drama tracks like “Fake Love,” Jimin wore a black wool notch-lapel brandebourg-embroidered jacket with a matching vest and black leather pants. He accessorized the look with a black silk scarf and a black leather Médaillon belt.
As the set progressed, Jimin changed into a more relaxed look, wearing an off-white wool knit with fringed edges over a plain white tank top and blue jeans. One of BTS’ main dancers, he later took the stage in a khaki sleeveless leather jacket paired with a silver Lurex knitted top and navy-washed cotton wide-leg pants. He completed the look with a black braided leather belt and a pair of black leather shoes.
“I’ll be flying across the stage. It’s been a while since our last tour, so I really want to show them our best. Today’s outfit turned out so perfectly that I feel like the rest is up to me now,” Jimin said while being fitted for the look.
The group’s set culminated in a final encore performance of “Dynamite.” For the closing moments, Jimin opted for a more relaxed Dior look, wearing a red Dior logo cotton hoodie over an inner shirt featuring a South Korean flag graphic, paired with blue denim jeans. Each ensemble brought a different dimension to his presence on stage while marking Dior’s role in BTS’ return to Paris.
The group’s return to Stade de France drew 92,000 fans each night, achieving the highest single-show attendance in the group’s history.
