While Glastonbury may be over for another year, attention is firmly now on SW19, where the style mood is less Barbour jackets, slogan tees and short shorts, more polite heels and summer tailoring. Wimbledon fans may well be deprived of their usual Princess of Wales sighting this year, given that the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club has temporarily stepped away from her public engagements as she continues to focus on her health, but the tournament is still delivering on spectator style.
David Beckham kicked things off in a custom Boss suit, while Grace Jones popped up in the stands wearing a flying helmet and aviator shades, strawberry in one hand, plastic wine glass in the other (once an icon…). And there was another appearance from small-screen royalty in the shape of Kim Cattrall, who arrived at the All England Club in pink suiting and shades as her former Sex and the City co-stars are busy filming for season three of And Just Like That…
During the second week of Wimbledon, stars including Jodie Turner-Smith, Ncuti Gatwa and Yasmin Finney turned out for British Vogue’s annual lunch with Ralph Lauren. Meanwhile, there were actual royal sightings in the form of Queen Camilla and Princess Beatrice, while Sienna Miller, Alexa Chung and Keira Knightley all gave their takes on the Wimbledon dress code.
