A$AP Rocky Accepts His Style Icon Award—With Rihanna!—at the 2025 CFDA Awards

This evening, A$AP Rocky received one of fashion’s highest honors: the Style Icon Award at the 2025 CFDA Awards. (Is that such a surprise for someone with a whole song called “Fashion Killa”?)

For years now, the rapper has been shutting down red carpets and performances in impeccably cool outfits, besides designing for his own creative brand, AWGE. And on Monday night, Rocky had to make another winning style statement at the CFDAs—with his partner Rihanna, a fellow CFDA Style Icon honoree, by his side. (There to present his award at New York’s American Museum of Natural History? Vogue’s Anna Wintour, with whom Rocky co-chaired this year’s Met Gala.)

To prove his style icon status, the rapper went full Chanel boy for the occasion, wearing a black silk gabardine jacket and pants, paired with a yellow silk knit top. He punctuated the look with a Chanel belt, shoes, and his own fine jewelry pieces. Rihanna also went the sleek tailoring route, opting for a stealthy-chic trench coat and white pleated trousers from Alaïa.

Back in 2014, when Wintour presented Rihanna with the very same award, the performer (and future beauty mogul) wore a shimmering sheer dress by Adam Selman covered in Swarovski crystals, still one of the most famous CFDA looks to date.
