This month, Vogue Faces returns with its second casting call on November 22 at One Ayala, Makati.
Around this time last year, Vogue Philippines headed to the south of the Philippines to discover new talents and faces in Mindanao through its first “Vogue Faces” casting call. Over 350 aspiring models gathered in Davao City, hailing from various regions of Mindanao. From Saranggani Province to General Santos City, diverse faces, bodies, and stories were discovered, with varying ages, backgrounds, and heritage. All of this culminated in Vogue Philippines’ two-part Mindanao issues, where the Mindanaoan talents saw themselves in its pages.
“Since my first Vogue casting, I’ve been on a whirlwind journey,” says Alyannah Gutierrez, who was cast in the first iteration of Vogue Faces. “I never imagined that my first modeling experience would be with Vogue. It was a dream come true and it’s been an incredible journey ever since.”
For Kurt Vicencio, the experience was enlightening. “It threw me into an entirely different world from what I was accustomed to,” he says. “I’ve always been curious about doing modeling work but had been hesitant and anxious about the result or outcome. Then I tried out the casting call and realized that the process was actually also very enjoyable.”
This year, the second iteration of Vogue Faces comes to the capital region of the Philippines. In Metro Manila, there are over 13 million Filipinos spread out across sixteen cities and one municipality, originating from various parts of the country and the world. As with the casting call in Mindanao, Vogue Philippines continues to explore Filipino beauty with this second iteration.
Hopeful talents can submit their online applications by November 18 until 11:59 PM, and shortlisted applicants will be invited to a callback on the third day of Vogue Threads Manila (November 22). For the full submission process, click here.
