We can’t say this enough: Zendaya knows how to shut down a red carpet. After a set of hyper-striking serves at last night’s NAACP Image Awards, the actress turned up the aesthetic dial on this evening’s SAG Awards 2023 red carpet with a saccharine spin on ’60s mod makeup.
To play up the romance of her Valentino gown—a spun-sugar-pink satin number culminating in a trailing garden of rosettes—the nominee kept her look luxurious, a glossy blowout set off by face-framing curls and a side-swept part. In an echo of both the shade and finish of her dress, a dusting of petal pink eyeshadow gave way to a hint of shimmer at the inner corners, with segmented and innately modish lashes providing structure to the otherwise soft approach. Poppy pink touches at the cheeks and lips (along with a Bulgari necklace worthy of a winning round of Pretty Pretty Princess) finished the moment, proving that, whether done up, pared down, or somewhere in-between, Zendaya can do no red carpet wrongs.
