Shade and finish may be the most important elements of your go-to lipstick, but a standout tube certainly doesn’t hurt. Enter MatteTrance Lipstick, Marc Jacobs Edition: a limited release from Pat McGrath Labs. Pat McGrath’s classic red, Forbidden Love, comes housed in the brand’s pout-adorned bullet featuring an allover engraving of Marc Jacobs eponymous logo. The lipstick promises hydration and a matte finish, along with super saturated color easily augmented by a swipe of gloss or a pull of liner.
“I love Pat. She is mother,” says Jacobs of the collaboration. “I’m so lucky to have been able to work with her over the years and her creativity and inspiration is endless.” Look no further than some of her most recent runway designs, as well as another one of her red lip icons (McGrath is the mastermind behind Taylor Swift’s most recent red lip era). Add to that a design that celebrates four decades of Jacobs’s fashion genius? It’s a collaboration made in Fashion Week heaven.
