For a celebrity hair transformation to be a “moment”, three things need to happen: it should come out of left-field; represent a marked departure from the star’s usual style; and, at least in some way, signal a shift in their overall vibe. Nailing three out of three today is Sabrina Carpenter, who arrived at Jonathan Anderson’s debut Dior show in Paris sans her signature curtain bangs.
Attending the Dior Homme Menswear spring/summer 2026 show in Paris, the 26-year-old was photographed with a Clueless-coded side parting and flipped up ends, all secured in place with a tortoiseshell barrette. Though classic, the style is a definite departure from her signature bombshell curls and bouncy curtain bangs.

Because, despite flirting with various waves and curls, the Man’s Best Friend singer has remained loyal to the same hairstyle for the past four years, wearing it for both her Emails I Can’t Send and Short n’ Sweet tours. In fact, her hairstyle has become such a recognisable look that rumours began to swirl that it was a wig – such was its volume and gravity-defying bounce.

Maybe there’s something in the air, or maybe it’s a response to her new music (she told Vogue’s Abby Aguirre in February that her truth-telling, sex-bomb persona evolved naturally as she wrote more and more lyrics), but Sabrina Carpenter’s look just got a whole lot preppier.
