V for Victory: That’s what Gigi Hadid’s hair for the 2025 Met Gala is giving—and we’re all cheering along.

Though model Gigi Hadid has been the president of Team Bob for more than a year, the Met Gala is all about magic—and maybe a few extensions, as her short bob was transformed into long, collarbone-skimming lengths by Dimitris Giannetos in a style similar to Anna Sui’s fall 2025 glam. The Victory Roll hairstyle is named after World War II fighter pilots from the 1940s and the spins they would do after victorious tactical maneuvers.

Hadid is also a vision in gold. In custom Miu Miu and styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Hadid perfectly carries off a gold sequined dress. The look is inspired by the designs of Zelda Wynn Valdes, who was known for work that shaped and styled the female form—and designing the Playboy Bunny uniform. Zendaya also recently referenced Valdes at the 2025 Golden Globes. “[Gabriella] thought of so many ways to interpret this theme,” Hadid told La La Anthony on the red carpet.” The dress is a celebration of Zelda—this is a dress maybe she would have designed for me, combining both tailoring and glamour.”
