Photographed by Talia Chetrit in Mont Blanc, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s second collection for the house meets the high-altitude landscape with Julia Garner, Théodore Pellerin, Lil Yachty, and more.
Where better to shoot a kaleidoscopic collection than against the natural blank backdrop of the Alps?
For Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s first Fall/Winter collection for Loewe since taking the creative helm, the campaign heads to Pointe Helbronner in the Mont Blanc massif, where vivid tones and voluminous forms stand against the snow-covered Alpine landscape at 3,470 meters above sea level.
In this landscape comes a wardrobe that could rival any Recco reflector (although we still recommend wearing this lifesaving device), with primary-colored garments in red, yellow, blue, and green cutting through the snow. The collection contrasts the previous season’s neoprene wetsuits and dresses with shearling coats, high-performance outerwear, and oversized knitwear that play with volume and texture. Storm boots, Dive slingbacks, and wraparound sunglasses give the looks a Winter Olympics streak, nodding to Loewe’s continuing relationship with health and fitness.
The collection marks the second chapter of McCollough and Hernandez’s Loewe, continuing their American sportswear codes through the house’s craft tradition. Slip dresses were 3D-printed and cast in latex, shearling was shaved and sculpted into bell-shaped jackets, while inflatable parkas and scarves brought exaggerated volume to familiar silhouettes. The season also marked the designers’ first menswear collection, extending the same approach across a new range of proportions and materials.
That sense of experimentation carries into the campaign, where artist Cosima von Bonin’s surreal animal sculptures inspire a capsule of Loewe bags modeled by Lil Yachty, Laïka Blanc-Francard, Beau Gadsdon, Nyawurh Chuol, Carin Herven, Siegfried Blanche, and Loewe ambassadors Julia Garner and Théodore Pellerin joining the cast.
The new Whisker bag also takes center stage, along with updated editions of the Amazona 180, Puzzle, and Flamenco. Distinguished by its relaxed body, structured handle, and elongated zipper, it comes in versions crafted in tartan leather intarsia and soft glazed leather.
